Cruisin' Blackstone

Usually after spending much of Matt's money, the four of us would head to Blackstone Ave.  The car we would normally take is Matt's since it had the most horsepower.  Compared to the rest of our Junkers it was a sports car.

Now I am sure from an observers point of view we looked really funny, maybe even pitiful.  Remember Bob is REALLY big.  Probably around 350lbs.  So he always took shotgun (front passengers seat) because that is where he could fit.  With Bob in the car it would lean to the passenger side of the car.

We would go cruisin' Blackstone in this car and pull up next to some of those little sporty cars.  And do a little speed challenge at the next stop light  Since the engines in those cars were smaller than Matt's Mustang we would call them rice burners.  But it is the law of physics that applies in drag racing not the law of egos and virtually inflated esteem.  With us 4 Ogres in the 'stang we would usually loose and feel pretty dumb.

Every now and then we were lucky enough to pull up next to a car full of girls.  But because of our group (Refer to the Gang) they were never interested and if they were we would never notice because we would be in disbelief anyway.

The only girls that we could talk to were the ones at the restaurants that we would eat at.  They had to talk to us because they were serving our table. The law of tipping is pretty comical in itself. When we would leave the restaurant we would tip more than the cost of our food. This was usually in proportion to how good looking our waitress was. (my wife is still in disbelief of some of these stories!)

Inevitably the evening would end at someone's house were we would be optimistic about the next evening and Matt could stop at the bank and withdraw some more cash.

Sometimes we would stop at the fancy Electronics stores and dream of the ultimate car stereo purchase.
